Young Drivers Submission

Earlier this year the Government flagged some changes to licencing and driving legislation for Young Drivers. These changes are designed to reduce the number of accidents young drivers are involved in.

Carlo sent out a survey across his electorate advising young people of the changes and inviting comments. Over two hundred responses were received and after reflecting on what young people had to say Carlo wrote a submission to VicRoads on the changes.

In summary Carlo supports the changes but is aware of the need to ensure that the changes are not seen as signalling out young people. All drivers have a shared responsability for road safety - not just one group in our community.
